Guidelines for Authors

If you wish to submit your first paper to be published in the Radioengineering Journal, please, visit the section New users to make a registration. During registration, authors are kindly asked to provide as much information as possible, especially the accurate name of workplace or academic affiliation.

To start regular review process, all papers must be uploaded via online submission system. Please upload both source document (word or tex file) and its pdf version dedicated for the review process. The authors must use online system exclusively for sending initial contribution as well as improved versions of their paper.

Initial submission should be accompanied with cover letter. In this document, authors should clearly declare that submitted paper is neither submitted for review nor considered for publication in other journal. Also, authors are permitted to suggest up to three potential reviewers capable to judge technical quality and soundness of submitted paper. However, the specific selection of reviewers is in full charge of the Associated Editor.

If authors are not sure if topic of their article fits the scope of Radioengineering Journal, please do not hesitate to contact chief@radioeng.cz.

The manuscript has to be submitted in the Radioengineering template for MS Word Template DOC or Tex Template TEX; otherwise the manuscript is rejected. The source file has to be accompanied by the corresponding pdf file. Size of an uploaded file is limited to 8 MB. Please do not remove page headers, do not change column width, and strictly follow prescribed format of references. Remember that each reference, figure, and table should be cited in text.

Before uploading a paper, all authors must read and agree with final submitted version of the paper. By the act of submitting a paper to the Radioengineering Journal, all authors express their assent to the Copyright rules published at copyright.

Papers are accepted in English only. A paper which is accepted by the reviewers for publication in the first review and meets the Radioengineering Publishing Style is usually published within a week (online version including DOI number).

Typical duration of first round review process together with average time between initial submission and final paper acceptance is visualized graphically within the main journal web page. However, time required to reach first round decision significantly depends on topic, length and readability of the paper.

Authors are not generally encouraged to resubmit declined papers. However, if submitted paper is rejected because of formal reasons only, authors can resubmit their paper after removing imperfections mentioned in email that brings a decision. In such a case, paper should be treated (uploaded) as new contribution.

Authors of accepted papers are kindly asked to pay the publication fee. For more details, authors are referred to section payments. Authors of accepted manuscript are encouraged to submit graphical abstract, that will be available together with published article on social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter). After the paper is published online, no further changes or modifications are allowed.

If authors get into trouble during the publication process (e.g. reviews take too long time, there are objections to the review, etc.), they can send their complaints to ombudsman@radioeng.cz.

To speed-up review process, authors are asked to resubmit new version of their paper within one month. If authors need more time to improve their paper accordingly to comments of reviewers, Associate Editor responsible for review process of respective manuscript (see email communication) needs to be informed about this fact. Please provide also time necessary to make requested changes (additional analysis, experimental verification, etc.).
